Once upon a time, three very powerful mods created www.tf2maps.net, this world soon became populated with life.
The planet TF2Maps sprouted from the minds of 3 powerful mods.
But the 3 mods alone couldn't handle everything so they used their powers to promote the select few to the status of demi-gods. These demigods worked with the mods to contact other planets, one of which was called Valve. Soon this new planet became friendly with the mods and demi-mods.
When the mods and demi-mods made contact with the planet Valve, many were worried as to whether it was good or not, although this quickly passed and the two planets are now good acquaintances.
There were many sub-worlds of the planet TF2Maps.net, with each member having one or more 'maps'. These maps were places where each member could share their creativity.
Not all of the occupants of the TF2Maps.net planet were making these 'maps', though, many created wonderful ornaments, or 'models' as well as wonderfully designed walls and floors, known as 'textures'.
Every now and then, the mods and demi-mods held contests to see which of their inhabitats was the best, one of these contests involved computers and a whole new gamemode called attack/defend ctf and had never been heard of before.
Four times a week (Earth time) members from all the other parts of the planet joined in celebration to explore each others 'maps'. This soon became a tradition, and thus the long running 'Gameday' tradition was born.
There are many more tales of the wonderful planet of TF2Maps.net. This is just one...
Alas, much of this is probably not true, based of a short 'for-lulz' by Owlruler, badly Photoshop'd images by zpqrei. Copyright-blah-blah-don't-sue-me-blah.
