How can I make a funnel

    I want to make my arch wider at the top. Vertex scaling just makes invalid solid structures. Any ideas on how to do this?

    I want to make a funnel like the one in portal BTS, where the box machine drops the boxes into the tube.

    2 options I can think of

    1. make a model
    2. make a displacement (check out Twister)

    actually you can make this with the brush tool :\
    you just choose the spike object thingy with a value of something like 20 depending on your needs for details

    once you get your spike you hit ctrl+h and input -32. that'd pretty much make the basic shape if you remove the large circle end of it. after you can open the tip with the clipping tool and add a nice cylinder at the end of it. pretty much the simplest way I can think of by now...

    be sure to put this func_detail tho, or vvis will totally freak out

    lol ur right, I didn't thought It would fuck up like this xD I'm sure you can work this out tho but it sure looks like a mess in hammer.

    It looks like somebody carved a sphere into a block D: (I did this once. Needless to say I failed.)
