How can I change the dimensions of a model?

hehehehehe I think I've found something that can be very usefull for all of us :wow:

let's say you have a brick model that works a certain way but it's too small for what you need.

Let's say you want to make it 5 times bigger and keep everything that the brick does.

Is there a way that you can make the model bigger?

If what I'm working on works, we all might sing a big yahoo but I can't do it without you so it will be a group sing along!

You can extract it, decompile it, change it in a modeling program, and then recompile it, but trust me... It's not worth the effort.

The best we can hope for is that some day Valve puts a prop-scaling feature in the engine.

You don't need a modeling program

just open the .QC and enter a line and value for "scale"

U'll need mdldecompiler. Find one. Decompile. Open qc file. Find $scale. Change. Recompile.

Doing the $scale thing works perfect.

type $scale 1 or "$scale" "1"

where 1 is the scale you want to resize it

Ok, I have my decompiler, how do I get it into my sdk bin folder? it says to put it there.

Ok everysite I see, including cannon fodder, says fire it up - (start the program) I can't figureout how to get the prgram working.

You take the exe and you put it in the sourcesdk/bin/orangebox/bin folder.

I also see on the net you "fire it up" how?

I can see it in hammer but I can't find it on my machine any ideas where it is?
