Help with detail props draw distance?

    So, according to valve's dev page about detail props, the fade out distance is around 1200 units but with no info on how to actually edit that distance, how do i actually edit this number?

    I've put detail props on the displacements on my map via map options, using trainyard's detail props.

    It seems that this value is only controllable by client cvars cl_detaildist and cl_detailfade.

    I don't think there is a way to edit those distances within a map.

    You could trigger a point_clientcommand, but if anyone did that to change a graphical setting, they'd very quickly get hatemail from the entire TF2toaster community.
