German with 150+ ping on EU server

That one guy is me.

Since about December last year, the EU TF2Maps.net server gives me a ping of 120 or higher. It worked fine before. Did it change location back then?

For the record, I'm located in Germany, Saxony and can connect to other close UK servers like Hampshire Heavies with a ping of 30.

Same for me. Im from germany, too, and always get a ping between 150 and 180.

I'm in Germany, too and my ping is fine... sounds like a routing problem caused by the provider, as said before.

Here's my tracert in comparison:

looks like the ping is increasing every interval

i´m from germany too, würzburg, and i always have max. 50ping, no fastpath (or whatever it is called)
might be a firewall issue
i sit behind a router with no firewall active (used to have comodo until it hung up my complete system)
try forwarding the tf2 ports on your router or accepting all connections via this port on your firewall without backchecks
how about other games? are you getting the same issues?
-friends downloading/surfing/streaming at the same time
-someone hacking into your wlan-connection
-connected via weak wlan

hope you get it fixed
everything about 100 makes spy/soldier/sniper hard to play

It's supposed to do that Each interval is another server, more distance traveled, so it's a cumulative ping so to say.

Nutomic and Trotim's have a significant jump right near the end though... but it isn't the same IP.

how about other games? are you getting the same issues?

It's just TF2 and only the EU server (at least that I know of, there might be other servers that SHOULD give me a low ping but don't, I can't know that)

But I suppose playing around with the ports and firewall is not a bad idea
