Gelid - 5 capture point map set in an isolated facility in the north

My 72 hour submission. it is set somewhere in an isolated island, somewhere near the Bering strait.

This is my first 5 capture point map and the layout is rather experimental... compared to other maps, but this is what I manage to do in a limited time.

In the future, I might update this map to be more competent.

Not really a new version update, but soon there will be

As this is my first 5 cp map and made in under 3 days, it had some flaws. I intend to continue developing this one off 72 hour map in the future. doing a large revamp but still retaining the significant old features in its A1. in its next update i will fix the large issues such as the door logic being flunky and make the layout more bearable, and attempt to make it somewhat competitive viable like the other 5 cp maps.

  • adjusted layout of mid
  • remove some clutter
  • adjusted mid building connecting it to the flank building
  • made the main route through mid an underpass, replacing the wired fence

  • 2nd Point adjustments
  • inverse the position of the watch tower
  • removed more clutter
  • slight adjustments on one of the routes
  • added some cover
  • removed problematic sightlines

Mid changes
  • adjusted the bridges/platform around the point
  • carved the upper layer of the point
  • added grate texture to see through the lower layer of the point
  • displacement in the point smoothen

2nd Point changes
  • changed the cover from a prop into a func_detail
  • displacement routes smoothen

Last Point changes
  • blocked the very long sightline
  • lower ground route adjusted to not deal a lot of fall...

Mid Point
  • added textures
  • small layout adjustment on the capzone
  • added lights under the point

2nd Point
  • clean up the area behind the point
  • added a small alcove and move ammo pack there
  • added a barrel for cover and other uses
  • lights can't pass through displacement cliffs anymore
  • removed small health pack
  • added textures

Last Point
  • connected the previously disconnected lobbies
  • made the roofs...
