...from carrying the intel into a spawn or resupply room?

Theres a brush based entity that your supposed to encompass the spawn rooms in that prevents engineers from building in it and intel being carried in, it's called func_respawnroom. So create brush the size of your respawn area and create that entity and it should prevent the intel from being carried in.
func_respawnroom also allows you to change classes without suiciding. No spawn room is complete without it

haha.. i so hate levels that do not include these. I hate the long respawn times as it is.

also theres an option you can specify in tf2 to suicide on class change or not
I believe thats if you decide to change class outside of the spawn. I think if you set that to no then after you select a new class you carry on untill you die then you change class. This is how I enterpreted it, anyone is welcome to correct me.
func_respawnroom is like a func_changeclass plus some other features.
I believe that turning off the "suicide on class change" option will make it so when you change class, you will continue playing as the same class until you are killed. In a respawnroom (or changeclass), you can change class instantly.
I don't know if this is what your talking about, but every time I've changed class outside of the spawn, it's killed me instantly.
