I'm trying to go for a really nice and realistic storm effect. Rain, Thunder, Lightning, the whole shebang, the sound of the sea washing up on the edge, etc.
So I started out with a tutorial on lighting, that was just a really bright light and sound. Blah boring.
So I created a lightning strike with a series of env_beams, added a ambient_generic with a custom sound, and created my own soundscape.
Slap them into the map, give them I/O's. This is gonna be great! *Compile*
*Trigger*
Nothing epic happens.
The beams are not creating themselves, no striking out. (Strike Randomly is set) However, I get the sparks from some of them. (I set Spark End on)
No sounds, even though my sounds are right. (nature/thunder_clap_01.wav). It just proclaims it as missing inside of Ep2.
My soundscape also fails.
Can anyone suggest any other ways of making storm effects? Thanks!
