Here is my map, currently in alpha stages. I set out to create a control point map a bit like well, that had more trains and a nice 'wild west' feel to it. It has 5 control points in a linear layout with 4 moving trains at each end of the map. After 45 seconds of set-up time doors open and players are allowed into the central CP building. I've had tests so far with about 20 people and It's producing nice games and doesn't seem to be biased towards either team.
The very first pack of screens I made a week or so ago:
Clockwise from top right:
- Looking back at the second blu cp building
- A top down view of the map
- A peek into the tunnel
- A train (in motion) by a spawn
The second set of screens from later that week
Clockwise from top left:
- Inbetween blu cp 2 and central cp
- Looking down over the blu side
- Looking over the blu traintracks
- Me proving the trains work like they should
- Another view of the blu side
The third set of screenshots from a few days later:
Clockwise from top left:
- A train coming out of a cliff - red side
- A view over reds side of the map
- Detail of a red side building
- Looking at the central CP building
- Inside the tunnel
