Yea, my other contest entry (pl_saloon) had a strange and unfixable error that nobody I asked could figure out . So, because my last contest entry was not functional on servers, I decided to create a new payload map for the contest entry. This one I will be sure to make all my spawns, payload entites, and doors functional and not crash servers. I will also make sure to update a bit more frequently with screenshots and the usual. The area snaking under the train tracks looks very hard to attack. Going down is fine, but going uphill pre-checkpoint is crazy.
Update! I finished the layout of flats. Now all I need to do is fix some light leakage (stupid func_details) and put the entities in. Looks nice! I can't spot any obvious layout flaws from the provided screen shots, so get play testing, and quick if you still intend to compete in the contest . Also Forthex, no one really cares about cube maps in alphas unless you have a map like mine that has water everywhere
Looking good so far. Really could use another name though. PL_Flat is just, well, flat and very noobish sounding. Not that I'm implying anything. :sleep:
