This event is going to be a lot more interactive ;) Obviously the Medic Training was mostly theory, since it's hard to actually practice Medic skills in a controlled environment. For this one, I will cover the general strategies of playing Engie, as well as specific tactics for Well, Dustbowl, & 2fort. And unlike the Medic, this is stuff where everyone can participate in the training :D Friday evening at 7:00pm/1900 CST on the U.S. server. I tried the no-password route last time, and it was a miserable failure. So once again, the server will be locked w/ "TF2Mapsnet". Hope to see you all there!

    Fun fun fun.

I will be there. I know a fair bit about engineering on 2fort.

I can tell you right now, there is no SG on 2 fort that cannot be taken out by a soldier.

    WTF. WTF. WTF.

There's nothing to engi on 2fort. There's not much to 2fort in general. Not like I'd like to know much about 2fort.

That's a true story. And that's all there is to engi on 2fort.

You should do GPit or arena instead since Gpit has little health and arena would be interesting.

Dustbowl and Badwater would seem like more logical choices for "engineer training".

It's ok to be sad. The truth sometimes hurts. And in the words of Colonel Nathan R. Jessep, "You can't handle the truth!"

2fort is actually an easy quick way to earn points. If you play well. Just set up a lvl one SG outside, and run away to get the enemies attention, so they have to choose between killing you and the SG.

Soldiers? Taking down sentries? On 2fort?

That one slaps me on the knee!

    Or were you serious?

Please do. I've only seen this happen a handful of times, usual due to crits or uber.

I mean, sure, there are some vastly open places to put a sentry that a soldier could kill it, but that's not what I do.

Then again, I play on pub 2fort. I'm sure a compotent Soldier is far from what I'm used to dealing with.
