I'm editing a decompiled cp_mountainlab, to the best of my knowledge I have changed nothing that should cause leaks but I am getting them anyway and it is ruining everything. I noticed on the 2D views that there is a large red circle and things dissapear when they are not within this red circle. do i need to have everything in this red circle when i compile? i think this may be why things are leaking. Fairly new to mapping sorry if I'm being stupid

There should be a button at the top of hammer and it looks like a red circle with an r in it. Click it to disable it, you never really want it on.

That's just a feature called radius culling, which is sort of deprecated and has no practical use anymore. The only things it does now are cut off parts of a map outside the sphere (without sealing it) and cause lag in the editor. You can toggle it off with the C key or this button
