CRAG >>
I played the payload Crag enough for an evaluation. I'm happy just to have a Hallwoeen payload, and it looks cool, but the only downside is the word short comes to mind. It feels short and the first point feels cramped. The majority of point 2 - 3 felt like a straight line when official maps at least have a bend in the track if the cart is going in a straight line.
I do like it, but it feels over too quickly.
PIPEBALL >>
Pipeball seems like a pleasant surprise. I didn't like the brightly lit safe rooms, but the actual arena itself looked great especially for something that could have been disasterously simple. It was a lot of derpy good fun while it lasted.
MOONLIT >>
I've played Moonlit a few times before and it is a quality map under any circumstance. It is a joy to play and would be a pleasure to master. The Halloween is subtle and the portal to the nethertrack is an extremely nice touch. The color pallet is great, its not just the same color.
The only flaw I found is from point 3 - 4 the red bots try to enter out of a closed door. Every class has a purpose. There are nice bottlenecks and paths to come from any area without being chaotic. Really enjoyable map. Tons of fun to play.
VANGARD >>
There is a ton of action in this that is borderline chaos. The point has a nice tier above it to snipe, sentry or demo bomb from. I say borderline chaos because no where is safe. There is easy access everywhere and you can often spawnkill or sneak up behind people with no one suspecting it. So you'll see several firefights before the point. Its easy to setup mini sentry traps too. See I think that's a plus in a way. Scouts can have their fun, even heavies can take the long way and spawn kill. The cameo from the Headless Horseman is also really nice and adds to the fun instead of being a chore to kill him.
