OH FINE, TPG. If you insist. I've been meaning to update them, but really I just always forget to while I'm playing and I'm always working when I'm not testing. At this point, though, I suppose it's mandatory. :p

After holding a playtest yesterday with some well-known, good, players, it seems that a15 is not nearly as good as I had thought. The better the players are the more the maps' flaws are shown, I guess.

After a 19 minute back and forth where both teams were on each other's last points multiple times, I feel like I just need to step back and get it 100% perfect before continuing with detail. Yes that means a delay on b1, but I think that with a few major changes Spillway will come out much better.

Mostly I'm talking about the scale of areas in comparison to the other areas, the length of routes, and also the flow of the routes so that not so much turning is involved. I'm unsatisfied by the complexity of the area around 1-2 and 2nd still feels plain, so I'm planning to rotate last once more and realign it more to the right of 2nd, giving 2nd more of central position and shortening the distance to middle. I also want to change the yard up some, I know that the upper route to yard is useful but in 6v6 with good players I found that some of the geometry was just getting in their way. That upper route I think is going to change quite a bit in order to remove the long sightline there and to make the yard easier to take. As it is now, the yard is harder to take than 2nd, it seems. I'm also going to move the 2nd forward spawn and adjust pick-up placement, hopefully balancing with some competitive feedback.

Hey everyone!

I promise that Spillway is NOT DEAD (YET)!!!

I'm incredibly overloaded with school right now and if I can have maybe this next weekend and a boost of energy to catch up, you will one day see b1, as promised. Yes, I do still plan on remodeling some. I'm not going to let this die nor play imbalanced... but this new contest and whatnot seems to be keeping y'all busy anyway.

Oh good lord. Necrobumped. :S

I'm very... ambivalent. About TF2. I feel like I owe it to the hours I've put into this to kill it off, give it a proper finish. However, I have huge time constraints at the moment, and I also have no desire to play TF2 right now. I can't afford to get back into TF2, much less map, until Summer rolls around. :S

Also, I need to roll back my desktop to XP so I can play Mass Effect 2 with sound. >:3

I got XP on this PoS again. However, Kankle, if you feel like it's worth finishing (and there are others who agree) I'll do what I can whence I next get some time. If you guys have any feedback regarding the overall scope of the map, scale especially and anything specific as well like particular spots where you would prefer a more streamlined path to middle, tell me here or via PM. I still don't know why this topic is active. =/

Also looking forward to seeing this finished. But you shouldn't push yourself on it. Making yourself finish it won't help the map.

I did this more than a month ago but I never posted it, I just got really angry at my unskill when I got to second and tried to make rock-things. I think I'll start from middle now because I have tons of ideas for there, and then hopefully get something playable before my summer ends. :3

A - looking from above and to the right of defenders' spawn at last
B - the new entrances to last, looking from the left of second
C - the new lobby area that leads to second, as seen from outside its walls (second is on the left, last is on the right)
