So...I have two questions, really.
I'm considering a new mapping project, which will actually be my first real level design project to be taken even remotely seriously.
As for level editing experience, I have a decent amount of experience using the Source engine in general, but I'm not really too amazingly keen on the ins and outs of game balance as far as TF2 goes, and...well...basically, I just am not too sharp on
the "TF2-specific" things as far as level design goes.
So...my questions are:
1) For someone in my situation, which gametype would be good to start with, for a first project.
2) I was thinking eventually (depending on his this project goes), I wanted to do my own rendition of an Avanti (from TFC) type map, but I wasn't sure exactly how the entities would have to be set up, if it's even possible to do.
I just wanted to make sure that the flag-carrying to CP element remained in the map, but....yeah. I don't really know much regarding entity setups and....stuff.
Thanks in advance!
