I hope everyone has a good winter break, or at least stayed warm
I'm back (did he even leave?), and have some good stuff for ya. First up is our most recent gameday had SourceTV running. I loaded a few of the files, and they all seem to be working. The server was actually so packed, I didn't get in until like half-way through. But the file sizes are pretty tiny, so I set the TV to auto-record each map change for future games. You can nab them here; http://forums.tf2maps.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=920
Also of note, our second big contest is drawing to a close, w/ only 2 days left till the deadline! The upload thread is now live; http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=4833 Because we've gotten way more entries than we originally expected, the voting process has been tweaked a bit. We will most likely be using a combination of member scoring and a vote from the judges (myself and the other mods). Due to some concern about people being biased towards the moderator entries, they are barred from winning/claiming the prize.
Once the entries have been submitted, I'll change the server rotation to run them 24/7, probly 40-60min. a piece. After 10-14 days (not sure yet), we'll tally the final scores, and the judges will start deliberating. And Youme is going to make sure this is brought to the attention of Dario Casali, the Valve mapper whom we have been chatting with; http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=4755 All in all, I'm very excited about the new year, and seeing all of the wonderful custom TF2 our community will put out
