pl_spikyhats.zip _v1

ZIP file that contains logic prefabs and source VMFs for pl_spikyhats

The reason why the spikyhats logic prefab might be interesting to you despite the concept of wearing smissmas trees as a lethal hat being totally ridiculous is because it also works as a half-decent template for a CTF flag that has a custom model and gives you bonus effects when you pick it up.

Semi-required custom content:
-TFConnect Smissmas Tree (only models/props_tfc/festive_tree.mdl)
-mpa115 (skybox used in release versions)

Explanation of the VMFs:
pl_point003: Early version of B (bridges tunnel point), has less geometry built and worse routing but kind of a more "pure" form of bridges area
pl_point003b: A1 version of B
[BONUS] pl_point006: Test map prototyping houses that were built to create unique spikyhat-based gameplay - there was also an area that was meant to be a D point but I felt it was too overscaled to use in good conscience
pl_point007: A1 version of A
pl_point008: A1 version of C (without the horrible 2-exit spawnroom next to it)
[BONUS] pl_point009b: Early version of D, has a terrible overscaled sniper-friendly forward hold area but it has a cool brushwork basalt thing
pl_point009c: A1 version of D

[BONUS] pl_spikyhats_mergetest: Pre-A1 test map for merging the four sketch VMFs, basically A1 but lacking logic, some lighting and pickup patches
pl_spikyhats_a1: A1 as it released [[HAS BROKEN LOGIC!!]]
pl_spikyhats_a1a: A1A as it released [[HAS (mildly; each team can still win the round) BROKEN LOGIC!!]]
pl_spikyhats_a1b: A1B as it released
pl_spikyhats_a1c: A1C as it released
pl_spikyhats_a1d: A1D as it released, notable because the A point is reworked and a lot more fun than before

prefab_tfconnect_tree: Early logic prefab for the trees. Contains an example setup for 6 trees for both teams. Good if you won't have more than one spawn room for each team in your map.
bin/Prefabs/TFConnect/tfconnect_tree_red: When properly installed, you should be able to place this in just like the ABS prefabs. You will have to manually modify the outputs of the item_teamflags after placing the trees - for instance, changing "tree_red&i" for "tree_red1".
bin/Prefabs/TFConnect/tfconnect_tree_blu: You basically just need to merge these into your "Team Fortress 2/bin/" folder.
