Hologram Globe 1.2

Like Lazarus but worse

I like the hologram globes in the spawn rooms in Lazarus, and I just like holographic globes in general, so I made a holographic globe model. The skins 0-2 match the skins of capture point bases, (The beam effect is designed to fit into those models) and skin 4 is a greyscale version that can be tinted with the FX Color keyvalue in Hammer. The globe itself has a radius of 256 HUs, although there are also two other models in which the globe is 128 and 64 units in size instead, for smaller rooms. The inner layer of the globe and the beam are separate bodygroups which can be turned on or off.

  1. Medium and Small models

    I have added two new models, holo_globe_medium.mdl and holo_globe_small.mdl, in which the globe is one half and one quarter the size of holo_globe.mdl, respectively.
  2. White materials now working

    I forgot to turn the textures for skin 3 into VTFs. I also got rid of all of the now unnecessary TGAs.
