vsh_mariokart - VSH/FF2 map inspired by classic TF2 Mario Kart maps.

This is a new unique map designed for the VSH gamemode and is not a port.

Tested with VSH2 plugin and default bosses.

  • Added an invisible level 1 Dispenser to the cloud so players can refill health, ammo and upgrade sentries.
  • Removed nobuild spots on top of various buildings. This may be tweaked in the future.
  • Added another healthkit to the middle area.

  • Removed green pipe doors which were causing players to get stuck and improved clipping.
  • Fixed Engineers blocking teammate access to vent entrances.
  • Implemented a fix to automatically unstuck players who clip into the kart or are pushed into the ground by the kart.

NEW:
  • Moved springboards to the center of the map to allow players to jump onto the point from below
  • Added wooden beams on both sides of the point to make it easier to traverse the middle of the map

CLOUD CHANGES:
  • Removed the invisible dispenser on the cloud
  • Engineers cannot build dispensers or teleporters on the cloud
  • Made it so players fall off the cloud when stunned by Hale
  • Jumping Hales can now hit players on the cloud from below

SPEED RAMP CHANGES:
  • Speed ramps now behave as catapults (like in vsh_nebula)
  • Made it so players cannot use speed ramps when stunned by Hale

OTHER:
  • Fixed the green elevator not moving if more than one player was standing on it
  • Fixed players blocking the green elevator from reaching the top
  • Removed the cannon at the corner of the map and replaced it with a warp pipe instead
  • Removed the roof and pillars near the gas pumps to open and simplify the area
  • Removed railings in several spots to make movement in these areas less annoying

Engi buffs:
- Restored the door inside the green pipe for telefrag setups
- Reduced vent entrances in the gray room to one for a better telefrag setup
- Increased ammo in the gray room so it matches the underground area

Cloud re-buffs:
- Fully functional healing Dispensers and Teleporters can now be built on the cloud
- Sentries can now be redeployed on the cloud without bugging out
- Stunned players don't get auto-teleported off the cloud anymore
- Engineers can use teleporter entrances to escape the cloud when stunned and vice versa

Misc:
- Stunned players can use the speed ramps again
- Fixed the green elevator with multiple passengers, for real this time
- Added flashing signs on buildings when a player is inside them
- Added a flat speed pad behind the gray room

- Added more places to build inside the piss room
- Sentries and Dispensers can now be built inside the vents
- The vent room has more places to build and now has window exits
- Ammo packs on top of the billboards for Snipers
- Snipers now walk across the top of both billboards at the start of the track
- New red spawn second exit
- The party van now has see-through doors
- Improved detailing and clipping across the map
