I asked the question earlier today on group chat if it was possible to run source sdk in offline mode, and i was told no way no how, can't be done we've tested it.
I believe awesome told me this. but I was determined to find a way, and i have, so weather it is known by all but me now or not, i am going to post the instructions here now.
Step 1. log into steam online, run sdk and hammer.
step 2. exit steam do not log out, just right click and exit.
step 3. go to the Steam folder and make a copy of the clientregistry.blob and place it in a seperate file where it is easy to copy again.
you now have the key.
I needed this for my laptop so i could map when i had no means of connecting to steam so, now whenever i turn my laptop back on, I can copy the clientregistry.blob to my steam folder, then open steam, put it in offline mode and map to my hearts content, I tested this, and it indeed worked...or it did for me, hope this helps anyone who may need it
