Howdy folks. This is something that even I was really planning on doing, but I figured people would want to check out the maps for this, sooooo... let's get it happening, eh?

Please, for the love of god, DOWNLOAD THEM BEFOREHAND. Some of these maps are stupid heavy on filesize.

I have a feeling this may be due to the assets pack download from the main project page being different from the server map file because I only just saw that asset download link & personally just downloaded everything from the TF2 server connection.

This is usually a server problem serving a different map.

Discord link still doesn't work.

That channel says you can do 3 methods. You still have 2 you can try. No mod or staff member was contacted about the issues either in the discord or here until now.

I think the server btw could use some sort of !report or !admin function for cases just as this, or the inevitably someone is griefing/etc.

What server? Our servers have !calladmin already and usually have a moderator on them.

Some of what you posted was related, but this thread was for a single event to play some of the maps on a server. We usually host map tests on them the rest of the time. We have many different sub-forums https://tf2maps.net/forums/ and a help page about how to contact staff https://tf2maps.net/help/

on the map koth_cachoeira. Like half of the people joining were getting (Map is Missing) or (Client's map differs from the server's). It was almost like chat spam how often it was happening so it wasn't just 1 person with some wonky download.

"Map is Missing" happened because the map got updated to a newer version and approved by steam moderators while it was being played

Note to anyone manually downloading Cachoeira: Don't! The version being played is the May 6th, 2024 version, so just get it when you get on the server. Not gonna worry about changing it because that'd just cause more problems.
