yep. ANY hat is a good hat.
I totally beg to differ, I'd rather not have ANY of my hats and see people who wanted those hats have them. It sucks to keep getting stuff I dont want when other people want them more and i can't give them away.
I'd like to trade them, but I'd be perfectly happy to give hats i dont want away... its just a case of not being able to!

My brother heard a rumor from a couple people that not playing TF2 for several days will increase your likelihood of getting a hat as your next item drop. One person didn't play TF2 (or log into Steam, for that matter) for about 1 month and got a hat next time they played, and the other was off for 5 days and got one next time they started TF2. Can anyone tell me if there's truth to this? I've been off TF2 for 48 hours + right now, and I'm debating whether to play again or wait and hope for headwear... :drool1:
Also, no hats for me yet. But I'll take some of Youme's when he's doing his giveaway.

severely doubt this, there are alot of people on my friends list that play on a weekly basis...they have not got any hats
I am supporting the concept that it is 100% random and not tied to any circumstances.
Though I get a strong impression that the system is having a laugh at me, at one point playing pyro I flame a heavy, pull out my axe, and discover its the wrong one. So basically im screwed, die, and guess what item I find? An axtinguisher. Then an hour later I find another one, then the next day playing the 1st item I find is a third one
