Soviet KV2 Tank - The King of Derp Now in Team Fortress 2

SOVIET PROPS

Some content is derivative of official Valve content, all rights reserved.

A collection of custom models and assets for a World War II era Soviet setting. Should be compatible with the Frontline collection!

This content set will be updated periodically.

Please notice! This is an UNFINISHED tank prop -- as such, it does not have a final texture for the tracks, and it has NO LODs, but it should still be useful for mappers! This is a 13k+ triangle model and is intended to be a centerpiece, so don't scatter tons of these everywhere -- especially since it has no LODs.

I've just decided I need to focus on Jungle-themed projects and put this one on the backburner, but there's no reason other mappers can't take advantage and make use of this with Frontline assets. :)

Please do not redistribute these assets in any way EXCEPT when used, visible, and packed inside a functional custom map!

Current version of this asset pack is: B1 DECEMBER 11th 2016

INSTRUCTIONS

Unzip this archive into your 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom' folder.

Alternately if you use an automatic packing tool such as VIDE:

Unzip this in a seperate folder, then move everything inside '/props_soviet/' (folders '/models/' '/materials/' etc) directly into your 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\' folder.

Start up Hammer through your preferred method. All assets can be found with the keyword 'Soviet'.

Seems a bit too glossy for TF2.

You can always tweak it down in the vmt if you want. I usually keep my spec up super high until I'm done with the texture so that it's easier to tell how the specular map is coming along. I just never turned it back down since I never finished the texturing.

Oh this could look cool in cp_kalinka (if I ever get the artpass done). You got any plans on making red/blue skin variants?

Naaah, not really. But the source psd is all layered, so swapping to a BLU or RED palette would just mean picking colours and flood filling. Once you get the artpass for your map done, maybe I will carve out a little time to make some variants. Won't be for quite awhile though.

Can I make a request? Can you try making a half-track?
