Something I should know but I dont so Im asking a Question: Custom Textures

    So my map has one or two unofficial textures. As I understand it, a player who doesnt have those textures on their PC will see the black & purple checker pattern instead. My question is how do I send or package the custom textures with my compiled map file so everyone will see the correct textures?

    Yes, use Pakrat. Once you have your map complete, just run the .bat file for pakrat and a pop up window will open. Choose your map and then run "auto" to see what it can find on it's own. If it doesn't find your custom textures, click the add buttom to add them manually. Save as new bsp. It's very easy.

    And here i was adding everything manually. (l4d mind you, but still useful information)
