So I'm trying to use the Sketchup plugin that lets you export models as VMFs and SMDs. Making the actual map has been going fine, and I've made sure that everything follows the rules of making brushes: everything's blocked into different groups, no concave angles, et cetera.
The big problem I'm running into is that when I try to export it as a VMF, all I get is a little message in the corner telling me it's analyzing and a completely empty vmf. I've let it analyze for over an hour and still nothing. Is it just a really long waiting game, or am I doing something wrong?
(I know, I know, why am I not just using Hammer for all of it since it's literally right there? Long story short I've got over a decade's experience using Sketchup, so I figured I'd make use of it. That, and I've never liked making 3d objects in 2d viewports.)
Here's a picture of what I've got so far in case there's any no-nos or anything I missed. (There is a skybox surrounding it, it's just hidden in this picture.)
