I need to make a reflective ball for a map. How would I go about doing this?

Ask it some deeply probing questions about self enlightenment?

Probably not possible due to the cost of putting it in the map, at least if you want it to actively reflect its surroundings as opposed to just using cubemaps. At least AFAIK

Could just make a chrome sphere, but you'd be better off with a model probably. Are you trying to make a disco ball? Because I know where you could get a disco ball model.

Why do you need one? What are you using it for?

If that's good enough I suppose you could ask for permission [ame="http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=17363332&postcount=125"]here[/ame]. Not sure what he'll say though.
