Regcure? [urgent]

Hello peeps

Well recently i noticed i've been having alot of dll errors on vista and occasionally it runs slow so i found a program called RegCure and it promised to fix this.

I have scanned it twice and nothings occuring.
So is regcure safe?

No it just is generally vista which has these dll problems due to the fact it doesn't have dll's from xp 2000 etc
I've decided just to resort to downloading dll's myself so ty.

I would try the slightly safer Tuneup Utilities first. It's a quick way to fix lots of little errors and has a free 30 day trial to allow you to make quick use of it. But always be careful when messing with the System Registry part, don't do stupid things, even if it says it knows better..

Whats this I don't even... Regarding DLLs, I would never trust any third-party site claiming to provide an important DLL. If it's not from the hardware-manufacturer's site or the company that made the software, don't do it. It's a piece of cake for someone to trojan/virus it up, same as any .exe file.

If you want to find out why your computer is slow, diagnose what's slow first, using the built in tools or downloading something legit like the indispensable System Internals suite. Magic "fix everything" software is usually too good to be true.

Psy is just being useless. His post is just about as useful as "Have you tried switching it off and back on again?"

Reformatting is a last-ditch effort. Shit, theres so many things you can do besides it, like restoring to a previous backup.

I'm assuming that there is something seriously up with his Window's DLLs if he keeps getting errors. Then again, his description was so vague. Meh.

Easy to say when it's not your data!

I'm probably not a good representative example of a Windows user by any means, but I have never had to reformat to fix things. Part of it is knowing the tools: Autoruns for seeing "suspicious" startup entries, a boot disk for when Safe Mode doesn't cut it, and [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_File_Checker]SFC[/ame] with the original XP disk sitting around somewhere will be just fine 80% of the time.

I think it's fixed now btw guys and it's probably just vista as vista always seems to have dll related errors due to missing files.
