is it possible to parent a block light to a func_door.

i got a doorway in my map that has a lot of light pretty obviously flowing through it when closed so im just wondering if there is a way to make a block light brush move with the door.

even if it did, the lighting wouldn't be dynamic.

Make sure your door entity is casting shadows.

it isnt casting shadows the problem isnt shadows it's the bright spot on the wall that gets direct sunlight.

but i just covered the door in block light and it does good enough of a job and stop the bright spot.

yeah, a simple blocklight brush does the job - but you can't make it dynamic.

ah thanks i was hoping it could be dynamic since it would make a cool effect for the final compile but a static one definitely gets the job done still.

    thanks anyways
