New pyro weapon inadvertently revealed in new 'Meet the Sniper' vid?

It looks like a pistol with a flared out end but why?

Water? More fire? Fire water? Flare gun?! :woot:

My personal take on this is that its some type of 'sticky' weapon.
You get doused with it and lighting you on fire might do 2x as damage.

Since the axetinguisher kind of works in this manner, it would only make sense..

Another theory would be its some sort of water gun. But for what?
Now, will this replace the shotgun? The flame thrower?

I guess we'll have to wait till Thursday.

wrong. There was a lot of goldrush in there, most notably the skybox.

But yes there was an insane amount of new stuff in that vid

Well, yeah, that scenery was very Gold Rush like, but none of it looked like part of the map itself. (Unless I'm that blind)

So many of the shots in the video were cropped in or focusing mostly on skybox that it wouldn't have been a problem for most of the places seen to simply be custom sets made for the video.

A lot of the "road" shots definitely came from goldrush in one way or another, though.

the three headshots at the end are goldrush, hes standing on one of the goldrush rooves at that point, the demo/heavy scene I think is new, the opening road is new, and most of the driving shots are from the very edges of goldrush as is him climbing and the "I think his mate saw me...yes, yes he did"

TFC like Rocket Launcher
or
A Demoman like Napalm Grenade launcher.

My theory:

Flare Fun-
replacement for shot gun.

Does more damage per hit over shot gun, trade off- slower rate of fire, requires greater accuracy to hit target.

Most effective: used in ambush techniques, slower rate of fire requires pyro to attack and fall back for cover (to reload), as opposed to chasing after a flaming enemy and finishing him off with a shot gun.

Plan B: If fall back is not an option pull out Axtinguisher :evil:
