My custom textures cant be found in Hammer?

I created some 512x512 .vtf textures using photoshop plugin. Then i made .vmt file with notepad that says:

"LightmappedGeneric"
{
"$baseTexture" "TEXTURENAME"

}

i tried to copy those files to different materials folders and paths that are shown at messages screen when hammer loads but no luck. The materials cant be found when browsing textures.

Did i miss something or what is the problem???
