Model Modification of waste_elevator_reference.mdl

Hey I was just wondering if someone could make a few slight modifications to waste_elevator_reference.mdl (You know the big model at the end of Coldfront and Badlands)

First could you cut it into modular sections that can easily be stacked on top of each other? Or just remove the base.

Second could you fill in the gaps in the model? If you don't know what I am talking about refer to this picture:

I think matt made icarus some modular sets but I don't know if the holes were removed.
