So it's.... better. Better, in that it's actually possible for a team to win now. The key failing now, however, is that it's too easy to win. Once a team caps mid, it's only a short matter of time before they have their pick of a final point.

Some ideas:

1. Do the Krepost rotation with the points. Not a fan of this one, but it was brought up several times.

2. Adjust the respawn times for the team that caps mid. I'm not going to disable the forward spawns, so maybe I'll try this instead

3. Shorten mid's cap time. Like KOTH, it should be a scramble of point ownership. This ought to facilitate that of repawn time trickery doesn't pan out.

Or, my most convoluted idea:

4. Rig it like 4 team CTF, where a team has to cap all the other team's courtyard points to win, but the team that got their point capped doesn't lose the game outright. I'm thinking, let's say RED caps mid, and then caps GRN's point. Like Pipeball, some fanfare plays and everyone respawns. RED retains ownership of mid, but GRN gets their point back. Now, RED has to cap BLU and YLW's points in this manner in order to win. Might be a little too out there for most people to understand right away- some people still are confused as to why the map strips the Huntsman.

Yeah, I know, right?

Maybe this'll go on the backburner for a bit. Maybe I finish up CTF Melee Fort Quad. Maybe I start on LM Melee Fort Quad......

A18 V5!

CHANGES FROM A18V4a:

  • Extended rescue platforms further into the moat, so Anchor Soldiers aren't completely doomed
  • Adjusted HDR
  • Added lights to problematic dark spots on the map
  • Removed dynamic respawn times. Now it's always a flat wavetime of 5
  • Removed playerclipping above the fences outside the bases, allowing players to jump over them however they manage to. The barbwire will hurt a little though when touched.
  • Modified the HUD to always display unlocked points...
