Hurrah! I finished my first map that is bigger than a room!
But after so much work when I compile the map it tells me:

Code:
The command failed. Windows reported the error:
"The system cannot find the file specified."

Do you want to continue?

What does it mean, and what I need to do?
(when I press that I want to continue then it opens TF2
and tells me that the map was not found...)
And after this is over - how do I upload the map to this site?

That'll happen if your map goes outside Hammer's boundaries or if it has a space in its name I believe.

Hmmm. Since you seem new to mapping, and this is your first larger map, I would find it likely that your map name has a space. If your map has a name like "my map.vmf", then you need to rename it to "my_map.vmf" and then try recompilation.

Or you have bad displacements...

Yeah... About that - how do I find leaks in my map?
I searched in the Valve Developer Community, but whatever it said there didn't work on my computer...

If your compile log reports a leak, you can view where you map leaked by going to Map -> Load Pointfile. Hammer will ask you if you'd like to load the default point file (if it exists). Otherwise, it'll bring up a Windows Explorer window showing all the existing point files.
