Has anyone done a tutorial on the logic system (branching, timers, compares, etc.. ) ?
There's such a vast array of logic entities that covering them in-depth would require a huge tutorial. For the most part, a lot of the entities are self-explanatory.
Unfortunately Psy speaks the truth, it would be an enormous task. The closest thing there is at present is this: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/List_of_entities#Logic_entities
There are also many good tutorials out there so if you have something specific you need to do I'm sure someone can help you find out how.
here's somthing simple that might help ya. Touches on logic_case, timers, and counters...
If you can explain exactly what you're trying to do I can help better.
Thanks, that does help quite a bit.
I know how basic 'logic' works, what isnt intuitive is how the entity system passes variables between entities. This gives me a glimpse into that system.
Starting from scratch with no example was a bit daunting.
