koth_test - First attempt at creating a playable map.

BEHOLD! I have started learning Hammer; this is my first (technically second) playable map.

FEATURES:

  • 2 spawn rooms per team (WOW!)
  • Symmetrical (INCREDIBLE)
  • Dev textures (COOL)
  • Props (BETTER THAN NOTHING)
  • No soundscapes (PEACE AND QUIET)
  • Includes a navmesh (BOTS CAN PLAY WITH YOU)
  • And a lot less probably!

Feel free to edit this map, if you for some reason desire to.

(Pictures are of the blue side of the map because the red side is a mirror of the blue...

Heya, Ville! Im so happy to see that you're picking up Hammer and making your first custom maps! While I cannot wait to see it play in-game, I have a word of advice: I would seriously recommend choosing a name for a map (even if its only a test) that isn't generic, such as 'Warehouse', 'Courtyard', etc. There are already a few maps established with that name, and this would cause errors on the mapping server and in player's clients.
Not only that, but maps are required to use a version string like 'a1', 'v1' for alpha maps still in development. To circumvent this, you should recompile and upload the map again, under a new name. Try out koth_villetest01_a1 as the map name and resubmit it the website.
