how to watch SourceTV game demo (.dem) file??

:blushing:This is probobly a REALLY dumb question, but I can't figure out how to watch a SourceTV game recording (in particular, the ones from Saturday's Game Testing).

If some kind soul could point me in the right direction...would be much appreciated

put the .dem file in the root of tf2's files (team fortress 2/tf/) and then load up tf2, hit shift+f2 and hit "load"
Alternativly use the console and "playdemo <demoname>" once its in /tf/

How to watch OR Record a Demo TF2

Playback demo:
To watch the demo go into console by pressing the tilde "~" key on your keyboard. Then type "Playdemo NAME" to watch the demo you recorded or downloaded.

Playback Control:
When you are watching the demo hit "SHIFT+F2" to toggle on/off the demo control player. This will allow you to do basics such as fastforward/rewind, skip, stop, start. Also it will allow you to add texts, sounds etc for more advanced publishings.

place said demo here:
\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\your-username\team fortress 2\tf

go into tf2, open the console and type "playdemo demo-name"
usually you can just start to type the name of the demo then a drop down will give you a list to select from

This is from memory so I could be off...

1. Put the .dem in the right directory. The .dem maybe compressed, if so extract it, then place it here:

c\programfiles\steam\steamapps\YOURACCOUNT\team fortress 2\tf

2. Launch TF2, when the splash screen is up, instead of finding or creating a server, Press shift+F2 > click LOAD > Find your demo (assuming you placed it properly), then click play.

3. Profit.
