How to install custom textures

I've been looking around for a guide on where to put the texture files for use in hammer, and I've found multiple answers and none of them work, can someone please tell me where to extract these files to

When you download textures from this site, generally there will be a "tf" folder inside of the zipped folder. Open your tf folder in your steam directory and drag the things from the downloaded tf folder into your game's tf folder. It should automatically put the files in the right folders.
