I am trying to make a river for my map and am having no luck with figuring out how to get the water to work. I have tried searching around but havent found any tutorials or information on how to create water. I tried looking at 2fort, but I can't seem to figure out how they are getting it to work there!

Can anyone point me to someplace where I can get information on how to do it or give me a quick guide on what exactly I need to do?!

3kliksphilip has made a bunch of videos on you tube regarding all sorts of SDK editing. This one happens to be the quick and dirty version...he goes on to clarify in other videos.

Make a block using the nodraw texture where you want the water to be. Using the texture tool, select only the top face, and texture it to a water texture (ie water/water_2fort)
Then tie the brush to a func_water entity (ctrl t, then choose func_water)

    EDIT: Ninja'd :3

Awesome! I guess what I was missing was the nodraw. It works great!
