aw hell... valve should just take some L4D code and make highlander coop missions for TF2 set in the TF2 universe

TF2's AI is as expansive as the mimic command, along with set movements. Thus, it works well for maps like tr_walkway, but not for strategic gameplay.

I think I've heard of a few mods that add some basic AI to a few maps, however even with that it's probably pretty limiting.

Interesting, I tried this before in garry's mod but my SWEPs were incompetant. Personally, I prefer strapping my filing cabinet turret to a jeep, but whatever floats your boat. You can kind of do this in garrys mod, just start up a server and get in some friends. I don't know what you'd do about the npcs, maybe re-configure the weapons to be nerfed. My favourite when I tried this was soldier. One rocket took out almost anything, and the shovel lit stuff on fire.

If they ever do get done with the original and they begin 2, someone from the community needs to join up with them and work on this. I agree, very interesting it would be.

As per current, the engi SWEPs are broken, the sentry does shoot npcs but has incredibly terrible aim. On that note, may I recommend trying pretty much any level as soldier. The first of Nova Prospekt if you want a challenge.
