So, I'm new here as a poster, but have been using tf2maps as a resource for awhile now.
I'm new to the mapping world of Source, and am pretty much a newb though I've done mapping before. I used to map back in the good ol days of the first Id Tech engine with Doom 2 and Heretic. Things have changed a lot since then, and mapping in Source works in pretty much the opposite way that mapping in Doom did, so that took a bit of getting used to.
I made a number of Deathmatch maps back then, and some hoarde maps (pretty much a single-player survival type thing), but when I entered the world of MMO's I sort of left all that behind. I stopped playing MMO's years ago and have been playing TF2 for awhile, and was inspired by a clanmember to try my hand at mapping again, so here I am.
I have one payload project that's still in the works and a few concepts, but that's about it. Reading threads on these boards has proven vital in helping me get through some tough spots, and I figured I'd join up and say thanks for all the help I've received so far, and hopefully I'll be able to post something on my map soon (when I'm comfortable it's decent enough to not be torn apart by experienced mappers
