Now available for preorder

$220 with the exclusive (direct hit exchangeable hand) is $235

Personally I think this model is lower quality, the face seems off and the clothing is whoooaaaa ultra smooth :(

I'm tempted to get it and get the whole set, since I've got a Heavy. but on the other hand I really don't want to spend 2k on all 9.

You could make a new map to subsidise the costs... :p

I've kind of been mulling over that same situation. I really just wanted the Heavy and Pyro (and maybe Engineer). But I have a feeling that as I see each one come out, I'll want it. And how long until that pyro statue is for sale? As it stands, they're releasing them just a little fast than one per year. This could mean that if any of us are waiting for a particular character that isn't the Heavy or Soldier, we could be waiting until 2018, and I might not care by then.. I hope they pick up the pace a little, drop the price a little, and put every last bit of skill and effort into these statues' designs. Couldn't hurt to give us promotional codes for a future figure if we've already bought one... they do have a field for that on the checkout page.

The only things that bug me about the Solider statue are that I wish it was more of a combat pose, and it doesn't quite look like it's to scale with the Heavy statue. His statue is actually an inch taller, according to the Gaming Heads website! That isn't right, is it? I want to put these guys next to each other on my shelf, and it's not going to look exactly right.

(also, if they ventured to do a tenth figure, a sentry gun would be neat)

They said that they're going to up the pace of tf2 ones, they said 3 this year.

Yes the scale is correct, the soldier is taller than the heavy when standing to attention.

Look at this, they're the same distance from the camera and the heavy's legs are straighter than the statuette, and the soldier is not standing as straight as the statuette and he's still taller than the heavy.

Price isn't going to drop though, it seems largely dependant on their volume which is why the tank costs more than the headcrab zombie even though it's 1/6 and the zombie is 1/4 scale.

You know what? I was looking for that EXACT picture when I started thinking about the scale of the two statues. Thanks for finding it. You're right, I guess the scale is correct, and now I'm happier. I somehow thought the Soldier was shorter than that. Would've liked a better pose for him, but all in all the figure's still pretty cool-looking.

And thank goodness they'll be making the TF2 ones faster. I'm craving a Pyro. He better have the flamethrower, and not just the axe or flare gun.

Most likely the tusken raider taunt pose, that's what I'm expecting. And I'll be fine with that.

I'd prefer a pose where he's rushing into battle. I love the Heavy's pose. He looks like he's mowing people down.

On a related note, Gaming Heads says we should pay close attention to the (currently happening) Toy Fair if we're TF2 or Portal fans... so... Maybe some new statuette reveals soon. :)

Thought i'd post this in here as there isn't really any point in having another TF2 statue thread. Just saw this on Kotaku, they show the new Solly statues off aswell as some action figure/opposable HWG figures with interchangable fists/KGBs which look pretty cool. I might get the whole TF2 team of those if they're reasonably priced. Oh and the portal sentry looks awesome, a DIY/unpainted version like shown would be nice.
