Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask, but I notice in the D/L section of the site we haven't had any Gameday demos since GD13. Where's the rest?

I have updated the main topic, I dont think people will really be sticking around super late though, so I think we have to make a decision.

Here are our options as I see them:

  1. Have different rotations for each Day, a Saturday and a Sunday rotation.
  2. Start the game days earlier by 2 hours, this will give us 4 more map slots.
  3. Extend the Game days past 9:00 pm EST until some later time, this will again give us 4 more map slots.
What are people's thoughts? Maybe some combination of the above?

Also @ bobby, I hope you updated your map as you said you would because I have added it to the rotation.

Indeed I did earlier today before you updated, Thank you. 7:30 is perfect! :)

Going later would be better then starting earlier for me... but I'm on the west coast.

Nope, after a certain amount of time people get bored, i think this even might be a little to much maps.
If you wanted a slot, you're to late.

I imagine the servers will still be up after the aloted time? I suggest once the slots are full, take backups that can run after the scheduled time so they might still get some exposure. If you tell a mapper that their map will be on a server from 9:30-10p.... that mapper can then gather testers to be there from 9:30 to ten. We can use the Game day hours to hardcore test but if the admins of the servers are ok with it why not throw some others up there for those who didn't get a slot.

I dunno, if there is a way to automate the map changes on the servers, you could run a testing server that flips through the maps on a scheduled basis. Then the author of the map can advertise and gather their own test crew.

I hope all that made sense, just my thoughts.

split the list in half and put 1 half on sat and the other on sunday.

i think a limit of submissions should also be imposed. first come first served with 4 or 5 per day with 30 min rotation would be good.

Split rotation has been set up for Saturday / Sunday being different. Also my amazing awesome guess of 4 hours each day is open for debate.

A Sunday timeslot would probably work better for me as well. If it's not too much trouble to switch over pl_evator.

I have to give some notes about the map, because there are currently some problems that I am having. I can't fix them in time for gameday, so I hope they are not too big of a problem

1)Map ends on round win. This means it can only be played one time on gameday. should not be a problem, though, because it is a round like a round of dustbowl, so it only needs to be tested for a short time

2) can't get the cubemaps to build. not that big of a problem, though, because there are not many shiny surfaces in the map

I hope these problems are not too big, and remember, its a round 3, so:
should be harder for BLU to win, and

We might wanna split a timeslot, then. The most my map could possibly run is 20 minutes, and that's if BLU just completely fails to cap both times.

I think as long as we have the round limit set high enough, then I don't think it will be a problem. If we get pressed for slots then I will look into combining you with another slot.
