A fairly straight forward 3 capture point map (well/granary style). It looks like a map made for snipers but looks can be deceiving.

Looks great so far, the only problem is the textures. Make sure you put "tf" in the filters box, when you are searching. That rock wall is a HL2 texture.

thats not the only hl2 in the map. half the grass is hl2. the roofs are hl2. the trees are hl2 trees. i did look at having the alpine rock wall texture but felt that it would make the trees look out of place. just having hl2 textures does not make for a bad map, its how they are used.

No it doesn't. The cartoonish look from TF2 texture is quite varied from surface from surface, with the the cliff rocks being the most noticeable :hence the hl2 rock/ground textures should be avoided. Concrete/glass/metal/wood texture may be cautiously used, imho, if you don't want to design new custom textures filling your need. You can swap them later.

Let me rephrase: having noticeable HL2 textures makes for a bad map.

nobody in the last year has ever complained about the texture of the cliffs. probably because they were having too much fun playing on the map.
