Firefox freezing and stuff

So every 15 minutes or less, firefox freezes, and I have to end the process to re open it. The window goes white (if I had browsed youtube, i would see the overlay on it though). I don't know what to do, or what causes it, and I can't find anyone with a similar issue.

Reinstalling and updating didn't fix it. I can't install google chrome because apparently it's "already installed" regardless of the fact that I can't find any instance of chrome on my pc. I have no idea why it can't be like every god damn other installer on the earth and repair/reinstall it. I've also done a virus scan and that didn't work either

So yea I am mad and clueless

Are you just running vanilla firefox? Or do you have some addons installed?

EDIT: Try running it in various compatibility modes if you're on Vista/7, a quick search revealed this may help.

That didn't help it, what the fuck am i supposed to do why can't firefox just work and why cant google chrome be a normal fcuking installer like evrery god damn other installer IM VERY ANGRY

maybe something like flashplayer isnt working properly. any browser has a high chance of crashing when flash + untiy webplayer are running on the same page (this is not relevant to your issue i assume) but some things like this can cause an issue like so. also, are you running a 32-bit version on 64-bit? i think firefox only uses 32-bit like chrome aswell. whereas internet explorer has a 32-bit version and a 64-bit version.

chrome will not show up in add/remove programs or in Program Files directory. Its in your user folder. Google does this so it can update the software remotely and on the fly. Instead of having you download an executable every time chrome needs to update.

Jokes on you, I haven't graduated yet!

I've already tried this in the past, there isn't a google \chrome folder in my appdata/local. I just had an idea of creating one right this minute, since you told me why these folders exist.

I'm thinking of not being lazy and reformatting. Blahhhhhhhhh
