Explorer - Yeti Launch Facility 5CP

A 5CP map designed for competitive play.

"After the tremendous success of the first Yeti Park, Mann Co is looking to expand operations. Per Saxton Hale's demands, the next Yeti Park will be launched... in space! On a secondary island not far from the original Yeti Park, RED and BLU fight to launch their Yeti Rockets off this planet. Saxton Hale has promised a bonus to whichever team gets their Yetis into space first."

This map is designed to be a spiritual successor or "sequel" to cp_granary, but transformed to accommodate the flow and sensibilities of the modern meta.

-Added a ledge at the front of yard to facilitate aggressive holds
-Added health and ammo in yard and 2nd point
-Added a slanted ledge in drop down so scouts can double jump up
-Adjusted the structure next to 2nd point to make it easier to access from both sides
-Moved the stairwell to the upper entrance of last
-New design of structure on last to make high ground easier to spam

-Raised midpoint platform slightly
-Added medium health kit on middle
-Removed barrels in house connector between mid and yard
-Reworked yard structures
-Reworked 2nd point structures, capture position, routes, etc

-Adjusted small health pack platform on mid to be smaller

-Raised the skybox height on mid to prevent interference with high jumps
-Added two directional signs in the sightline of the 2nd forward spawn to prevent confusion on rollout
-Adjusted house geometry slightly
-Adjusted geometry and props significantly at the front of yard to improve flow and offer more appealing positioning options
-Added directional signs and a medium ammo pack at the front of yard

  • Slightly reduced the size of the shed on middle to weaken height and reduce claustrophobia in the corner
  • Added additional ramp corner on middle to improve flow between low ground and high ground
  • Replaced cargo crates at back of mid with brushes to reduce visual clutter
  • Yet another adjustment of front of yard geometry to improve flow and promote aggressive positions
