Hello, I am trying to setup a dedicated server, everything works fine except for workshop maps.

Whenever the server tries to load a workshop map, I get this error:
1689668122690.png

Here is how I have the map formatted in the mapcycle.txt file:

When I boot up the server, I have it start pl_upward first. During the bootup phase, it reflects that it is tracking the workshop maps successfully and will even queue the workshop map next. It is only when the server attempts to switch to the workshop map is when I get the error above.

When looking into this error, I find only a few dead-end articles with no solutions.

I hope someone here has a better idea on how I can resolve this.

It may be your path is too long, or it doesn't like spaces. I can run Workshop maps fine on my local server. The path looks like this:

C:\servers\steam\tf2\steamapps\workshop\content\440\845183322\mapname

Yup, that fixed the issue.

I just installed the server in a separate folder from steamCMD and that made the path much much shorter. Also fixed another issue I was having lol

Thanks for the help!
