cp_backwoods - An remote & abandonded logging plant, left open for skirmishes.

Welcome to cp_backwoods (yes, it's a pun)

An early version of my fourth TF2 map.

Contains:
  • The classic, symetrical 5CP experience.
  • Open middle, with breakable (and broken) windows.
  • Flank routes, as well as main choke-points.
  • Good sentry spots, heavy-holds, sniper lines and spy flanks.
  • Climbable ladders!!!
  • A pretty logging camp, with custom models from the Construction Asset pack sprinkled in.

Please note: This map is in beta stages, for play-testing and experimentation. Nothing is really final yet, and there may well be bugs and glitches that are unintended!

I have not done any real optimisation yet, as I want to secure the gameplay first. There is clipping done to prevent leaving, but apart from that it is minimal!

I wish to carry on working on this map, with feedback and responses from this community and friends! :)

New version update!

  • New buildings added at middle for high-ground.
  • Changed rotation of mid-ramp, and removed metal sheets. Replaced with Process Rock! (Everyone loves process rock)
  • Reduced the size of 2nd's hanger.
  • Added a new elbow at last, leading into Saw. This will make a stronger flank.
  • Removed clutter in the corridor connecting last.
