cant open hammer

I dont have hl2 and I changed the settings inside hammer to open with hl2 and now I cant open hammer.
it just says that I cant open it because it cant find hl2 exe
this is what it says:
Hammer Error

C:\Program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team fortress 2\hl2\gameinfo.txt is missing

can someone help pls?

Since you may still need to use HL2 textures/sounds, go to your current Hammer's settings, set "TF2" back as the main mapping-for game (so it won't cause the error of not loading up), and add back the HL2 properties into the code of your file.
