Yeah I know, another thread, but I promise this is for a good cause.
So I was trying to parent a ambient_generic to a moving elevator, but the entity dosen't have a "parent" property available. Any other possible solutions?

    Use SourceEntityName keyvalue.

You *can* parent the ambient_generic (you need to use my FGD or add it in manually), but you should use the SourceEntityName value instead

I tried doing that, and the sound played but it was super quiet.

It plays the sound at the origin of the targeted entity, try making a 2x2 grid not solid nodraw block where you want your sound to come from, give it a name and parent to it, then make the SourceEntityName the name of the nodraw block.
