Any chance of anyone are interested in create or edited a new better version of awesomebox map? nothing extraordinary, only a bit better in textures and some decorative elements, maybe an control point for access at skybox or a similar thing, and one good place for snipers. I want learn to make maps, but i'm linux user and seems not have tools for make it.

Maybe you should provide more information about the map you are talking to. Because awesomebox says nothing to me, draws no visual image to my mind.

As for linux, you can use wine or setup some virtual machine to run windows and the tools.

I tryed run hammer with wine time ago, but not work fine for me, and honestly i hate virtual machines or windows. i hope one day valve give a linux version of this. but maybe this never happen.

there's only a few billion variants of awesomebox out there. unless you have a few keys to spare, i doubt many are going to be interested in creating yet another one.

What do you need done, specifically? Are you offering payment? I'd be interesting in doing some modifications of the map.

Hi, again... I'm finally taking my first steps with the hammer in linux with wine. Obviously I still have a lot to learn. To start I'm doing what I asked for. If you want to see the initial result (I'm still working on it) you can search for megido servers or meguido_awesomebox in the maps filter. I have questions about how to improve maps with custom models, and I need to learn how functions work. I apreciate references

I use Hammer under Wine in Linux and everything works great with Wine version 1.8.4. It seems to be a little broken in the newer 1.9 versions though. Feel free to ask any questions you have about setting it up

Ty turtleboy666. At the moment everything works quite well, from time to time some sudden closure, but at the general level without problems. I'm using wine-1.6.2.
